A Quinta das Maceiras is located in A Coba, in the parish of San Miguel de Castro, in the municipality of A Estrada. It is a former house dating from 1950 that was originally dedicated to agricultural work and was later acquired by Pedro and Olga to transform it into accommodation. The restoration of the building was carried out respecting the aesthetics of traditional Galician architecture, with the aim of preserving its original character and adapting it into a place for rest in a natural setting.
The accommodation is located between Ponte Ulla and Silleda, in an area close to the River Ulla and surrounded by nature. It has a garden, a traditional hórreo, a swimming pool and an estate of approximately 10,000 square metres devoted to growing apples for cider production, a tradition with deep roots in the region. Its location is close to several places of interest in the area, such as the Xirimbao suspension bridge, Pico Sacro, the Pazo de Oca and the Toxa waterfall. It is also situated about 100 metres from the Camino de Santiago, on both the Vía de la Plata and Camino de Invierno routes.
