The origins of Casa da Pastora date back to 1880, the year Rosa, mother of María A Pastora, was born. At the end of the last century, the house was completely restored in order to adapt its former family rooms to the contemporary standards of rural tourism. Thus Casa da Pastora was created, an accommodation designed for rest in a peaceful natural setting, offering all modern comforts. It has eight double rooms, each with private bathroom and heating, all different and named in Galician after traditional occupations that evoke rural life in times gone by. The decoration combines restored furniture, antique objects and modern pieces in a carefully balanced mix that preserves the aesthetic harmony of the entire house.
The exterior has been renovated, with a covered swimming pool standing out in particular. It opens completely onto the garden and offers privileged views of the surrounding landscape. The garden has been redesigned using recycled materials, many recovered from the house itself, and incorporating solar showers, planters and LED lighting. The most representative trees of the property have been preserved and restored, including chestnut trees, the fig tree and the olive tree, as well as the vineyard and various aromatic and ornamental plants. The former hayloft now houses the terrace, a perfect place for breakfasts, gatherings and aperitifs, renovated to ensure accessibility and including an adapted bathroom.
